 Prince/Element of F.W. Taylor's Scientific Management Chapter 2 || Class 12 || NEB

Principal/Elements of scientific management

1.     Scientific method of work

2.     Standardization and simplification

3.     Scientific solution placement and training of workers

4.     Cooperation and harmonious relationship

5.     Incentive wage system

6.     Functional foremanship

1. Scientific method of work: Scientific management finds the best way to do tasks by studying time, speed, and rest required for each worker, using methods like Time Study and Motion Study. This replaces traditional, guesswork-based methods.

2. Standardization and simplification: Making work consistent and efficient by using scientific study to standardize materials, tools, processes, and working conditions.

3. Scientific selection, placement, and training of workers: Carefully choosing the right workers for specific jobs, providing proper training, and placing them correctly to increase output and efficiency.

4. Cooperation and harmonious relationship: Creating a friendly and cooperative environment between managers and workers, promoting trust, justice, and equality to maximize mutual benefits.

5. Incentive wage system: Encouraging higher production by paying workers more when they exceed standard output using the Differential Piece Wage System.

6. Functional foremanship: Dividing supervision into specialized roles, with each supervisor focusing on specific tasks, leading to better efficiency.
